[Evolution] "group by this field" option

some time ago i asked/posted where the "group by this field" option is
in the evolution 1.4.5 inbox, and the only answers i got were:
1) this feature was removed
2) its a shame that it was removed
according to response 2) i'm not the only one missing this feature,
therefore my question is, will this feature be reimplemented and if not
why?
