* When "shift" is pressed, Enter doesn't work.
OK, this is a bit of a silly one... if I press Enter while the shift key
is pressed, Enter simply doesn't do anything. This is not true for other
text editors... is there any way to prevent that?
i thought it was supposed to send the mail off
Nope, that's CTRL+Enter. Shift+Enter doesn't actually do anything -
well, the only thing it does is stopping Evolution from accepting the
"Enter"!
Is there any way I can fix this?
Well, Shift-Enter != Enter. Especially in Office programs, where that
combination has special meanings...
* What's the shortcut to get to the address book once I am in the
composer window
Hmm, AFAIK there is no shortcut for that. The To:, Cc: buttons even
aren't in the tab cycle.
I never missed that and still do not use the mouse:
- When starting a new mail, the focus is in the To: field. Just enter
the first three chars (of name, surename, nickname, email) and use
autocompletion. Hit ",", if you wanna add more or <tab> to go to Cc:.
- Same for Cc: to proceed with the Subject.
- Enter the subject and a last <tab> and you are ready to type your
mail.
Sure, I assume you at least remember the öfolks you are writing to. ;-)
Then you won't need the mouse at all. HTH
* How to get the "New mail" and the "reply" windows to be larger on my
screen (at the moment, I have to resize :-( ). I don's suppose you
could give me some hints...?
I never came across a solution for that, sorry. I suppose, compiling on
your own isn't an option? ;-)
