Sorry, I wanted to reply to the list...
What's the 'preview' pane? There is no preview in Evo, the mail is
always displayed full. ;-)
It's called 'preview pane' in the View menu and in all thread's on this
list... It's the part of the window (right-bottom) were you can read the
mail without opening it in a separate window...
I suspect, you have iso8859-15 set for variable with font but not for
fixed width.
Actually, I had selected a font for variable width that doesn't have the
iso8859-15 entry: it only has (like most fonts in the list) medium /
bold /...
Very few fonts on my system (RH7.3 - Gnome 1.4) have the iso-...
sections (or whatever they're called). That's what got me confused...
Thanks for the excellent explanation, almost everything is working fine
now!
I have selected iso8859-15 font's now for all fonts (variable/fixed &
on-screen/print) but certain characters are still displayed incorrectly
for printing.
e.g. the ' sign isn't displayed in the print-preview and the period in
some URL's get's replaced by multiple spaces...
Any idea what could be causing this?
I am using Helvetica and Courier now both for on-screen and printing...
TIA
