Problem solved - I just followed the instructions from Guenther.

Change your font setting from iso8859-1 to iso8859-15 for Europe. Be
sure to change both fonts, as subject is variable width and body may
fixed width.

Evo 1.2.x
 Tool / Settings / Font Preferences / On Screen Fonts


Problem is, iso8815-1 don't have full European chars. That's what
iso8859-15 is for. The char that is not in the font is displayed as
underscore.

You can see that in the subject line. The char is preserved all the
