Re: [Evolution] Re: Clie synch problems

Sorry for not doing more extensive testing first but the problem I had
with /dev/ttyUSB1 was with the permissions. Once set correctly it also
works fine.

it won't sync. Switch it back and it works.

Alexandre,

My USB port must be mounted on USB1. If I try

     pilot-xfer -p /dev/ttyUSB0 -l

I get a "no such device message." If I do the same with /dev/ttyUSB1,
then I get the message asking me to push the hotsync button.

But if I do so, nothing happens and the Clie times out. However, the
port does seem to work. In root, if I type:

 /sbin/lsusb

I do see the Clie on USB1 (message below)

It doesn't matter which port I use: USB

I'm trying to synch my Sony Clie SJ20 to evolution. I've read the

My only clue might be in /var/log/message (see below) Does this
suggest
a solution to anybody?

Hi Scott,
Did you configure the right USB port in the Evo preferences for gpilot?
To see which port your Clie uses, hit the Hotsync button, and then run
"pilot-xfer -p /dev/ttyUSB0 -l", if you don't get a list of the
installed apps on your Palm, try /dev/ttyUSB1. For me (Mandrake 9.0),
the port is /dev/tts/usb/0 (devfs).
Then go in Evo Tools, Pilot Settings, and set the port of your cradle on
the adequate port.
