I note that palm syncing suddenly appeared in the devo snapshot last

Just a hunch, for reason I can't fathom, I often have to "killall
gpilotd" to get syncing to work. There's some combination of conditions
that make it seemingly hang. Usually, when this happens, I also can't
search the Contacts database in Evo.
That's with Evo 1.0.8 on RedHat 6.2, with gnome-pilot 0.1.65 and
pilot-link 0.9.5, BTW.

Do I need to start a bg process to sync with it? I tried killev and
then restarting evo just in case there was some incompatible old process
still running the the background
That won't affect gpilotd, which is the bg process through which Gnome
applications sync.
