Is this imap or not?  I can't remember what you use.

If it is, might be worthwhile getting a trace (CAMEL_VERBOSE_DEBUG) of
what happens when it does.  And probably a backtrace (gdb) of all
threads when it hangs & attach to a bug report, assign it to
notzed ximian com perhaps.
