Yes, Some time ago I put forward a feature request to allow users to
over ride RC choices but it seems to have not found many fans...

I have also had many bogus problems and in the end I have settled for
useing RC as a big bulky slow update notification app, and then use an
ftp prog to down load the suggested updates.

And surprise surprise surprise, manually installing the same files by
(rpm -Uhv somefile.rpm) works without a problem.

Yes, it's about time RC let us make the choice to carry on any way, even
if it only downloads the files for us.
