How about having it configurable? I mean, the default setting should be
inconvenient for anyone using server-side mailboxes. Exchange users,

contain" search type. Using Mulberry for the past three years or so, I
have become really creative at searching only for stuff that may
actually be found in the headers, because it's just so much faster in
largish IMAP mail boxes. Any chance for a header searching function? Any
ideas how I can change that standard selection to "Sender contains" or
"Subject contains"? 

you could try editing the searches.xml file, and changing the order, but
i'm not sure it will work anyway

In my installation, this file does already start out with "Subject
contains", so obviously, it doesn't work. But I'd be happy with that
kind of solution, if it worked...
