[Evolution] HELP: Newbie setup problem

Hi,

Hoping someone has seen this before.

I've just installed Evolution 1.0.8 with Connector 1.0.7 on a 2.4.7-10 Linux kernel (the file system started out as a Red Hat 7.2 install). I'm hoping that all these things are compatible. Evolution runs and I am able to view Pop mail accounts just fine. I have been trying now to set up an Exchange account. I have followed the same procedures as others in my company without success. The setup itself, of course, goes fine but when I actually try to connect to the server I get the following message.

Error while 'Opening store exchange://miguel nts-exchange omegaband com/;filter;ad_server=nts-dagon.omegaband.com;enable_ad':
Could not connect to Evolution Exchange backend process: Permission denied
The only thing that appears to be different from other people's machines that have had success is that I am using a later version of the kernel. I don't know if that could be the source of the problem or if something else could be wrong (I need to be using this particular version of the kernel for other reasons).

Anybody have any idea what the issue might be?

    Thanks.

- Miguel
