I may have misremembered this, but try this anyway before I log anything. Attached are two files. The caltest.lcs is described as "Lotus ics format". I can't do squat with it with Evo =O{ The caltest.vcs is in vCal format, and this I can import if I tell the importer it's an .ics format file for the calendar. Only it can't find the Description field, and insists on asking me if I'm sure I want to delete the un-named appointments until I give up and say Yes =O{ This last bit could possibly be fixed quite easily? Both just contain two simple appointments for the 24th and 25th August 2002. Ta, Mark. On Wed, 2002-08-07 at 15:16, Rodrigo Moya wrote:

You just have to select File->Import on the evolution menu, and point to the .ics file you want to import.I found that this wasn't as easy as you make it sound. Back in <1.0.4 at least when I was fighting it, I found that .ics files exported by Lotus Organiser (I know, but that's what my Ericsson R380s syncs with on my PCs) wouldn't import to Evo at all - the format was too different. I found that StarOffice 5.2's calendar could read the file, though, and then export an .ics file that Evo *could* read. But then Evo's Calendar became somewhat unstable. =O{hmm, do you have any chance to create a bug in bugzilla and attach to it a .ics file exported by Lotus? If so, I can have a look to see why evo didn't import it.As of about 1.0.8 this instability with this data seems to have been fixed though.nice to hear. For exporting, .ics is actually the internal format for Evo, so just copy the calendar.ics file out of ~/evolution/local/Calendar and you have everything. It's a text file so you can munge it by hand, if you're up for it ;O)oh, yes, right. I was just referring to exporting some events, not the whole calendar. But if you want to export the whole calendar, just get the ~/evolution/local/Calendar/calendar.ics file. cheers -- Rodrigo Moya <rodrigo ximian com>
