Yes, and might I suggest a look at KMail for an example of an excellent
implementation of this? In KMail, each folder has a "Properties" dialog
associated with it (accessible from the right-click popup menu). The
properties include the associated "Identity", and also (and this is
*really* cool) includes an "Associated Mailing List". If the folder is
marked as holding a mailing list, KMail will automatically select the
correct "To:" and "From:" headers when replying to any message in the
folder.
