It'd be really nice to discover a) what triggers this problem and b) how to fix it without rebooting (oh, my precious uptime!). Also, on a more sour note, after a seemingly successful sync, it seems that Evo unmarked all my "finished" tasks so that on my Palm I now have hundreds of tasks on my ToDo list dating back to January and it takes forever to scroll down to the current and undated tasks. If I go and fix them all using Evo, is it going to do this again? Is this a known issue? I'm using the 11.07.16.47 snap.I'm not clear on the problem - evo synced the "hidden" tasks to pilot (ie the hide after so many days thing)? No, there are just hundreds of tasks that had been marked completed (manually) by stylus-tapping the checkbox on my Palm Pilot ToDo list. Hundreds! Now that I successfully sync'd with Evo for the first time in a while, every task that was EVER on my PP ToDo list is UN-checked. That is to say, it is marked NOT completed. I just checked Evo and it appears that everything is in order on that side (only the few current, incomplete tasks are shown). But there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Evo/gpilotd/whatever on the PC side triggered this problem on the Palm and it'll be a real nightmare to go back and re-check hundreds of tasks.I am unable to replicate this here. Checking complete marks thing as complete in evolution. I would be very interested if you can repeat this.I actually wish the problem were evident on the Evo side, then I could use Evo's easier interface to mark all thoses tasks as Completed and re-sync again =)You can selected multiple tasks in Evo to mark as complete. Also, a bunch of my Calendar items--most noticeably a repeating MWF class reminder--got duplicated on my Palm (and on Evo) in the process of syncing. I had two events for the exact same time in many (but not all) cases. This sounds like you had broken pilot map files from back in time. You can clear them by doing a copy from/to pilot after you restore.
Well I'm not sure what you mean by restore... did you mean wipe out all records on the palm and then restore from the PC? I was a little leery of that so I sat here for about 5 minutes tapping away the hundreds of suddenly incomplete tasks on my Palm. After that, I did a re-sync with Evolution and I'm happy to report that the sync did not screw up my tasks this time. It all looks good. Case closed, thanks for your attention (and as always, your hard work). --Eric
