Re: [Evolution] Camel API?

Sounds like a great idea!

I keep meaning to sit down one weekend and write enough of a mailer
to demo the concept (and also to demo how much of an overhead the gui
client is :(, but i've never got around to it. One problem is
some of its dependencies which drag in a bunch of gui related code
you dont need (gal in particular). At some point in the future these'll
be removed/replaced.

Much of the code is documented 'in source', which isn't the best place
to get to it, but ... Probably the best example is some of the stuff in
camel/tests/ and some of the stuff in mail/*.c.

Either Jeff Stedfast, or I (and maybe Dan Winship) would be good
contact points for any queries, and I also suggest become part of the
evolution-hackers list.

 Michael Zucchi

As the Evolution code is approaching the utter zen-like stillness and
stability expected of every 1.0 release, and I am in search of a new
thesis-avoidance strategy, I'd thought I'd start to look into the
possibility of a simple text-mode frontend to evolution (which is great
when you're on the road and can only use SSH to get to your mail).

I've been poking around a bit, but I seem unable to find any docs on the
Camel backend; can any kind person please point me at the right
direction?
