Not trying to start a flame war, but this is exactly why I use GNOME
over KDE, 
besides the obvious vision advantage GNOME has, the (core)KDE dev team
seem very , well, arrogant, 
and then apologize two or three day's later, I'm not an uber-hacker, but
to me, it doesn't matter if you ARE developing something for free,
competition is healthy, they'll be complaining about Micro$oft next
