:-) Thanks for your reply. I downloaded and untarred the evolution 0.8
: source, -) but I've run into another problem. It fails in the configure
: step, with the -) error shown below:
:-)

:-) Well, I have gnome-libs version 1.2.11, which would seem to be higher
: than -) 1.0.59. Here's the output of rpm -q gnome-libs:
:-)
:-) gnome-libs-1.2.11-0mdk_helix_1
:-)
:-) and of gnome-config --version
:-)
:-) gnome-libs 1.2.11
:-)
:-) Any recommendations?

Do you have gnome-libs-devel installed? It has the parts the config
script is looking for.

JP and Don Duck Harper:

Thanks for your responses. However, I still get the same error message from
configure, with gnome-libs-devel 1.2.11 installed. Is it possible that my
installation puts some files in a non-standard place? What exactly are the
parts that the config script is looking for? If I knew specific filenames I
could find them, and maybe then doctor the configure script so it would look
in the right directories.
