:-) Thanks for your reply. I downloaded and untarred the evolution 0.8 source,
:-) but I've run into another problem. It fails in the configure step, with the
:-) error shown below:
:-)
:-) checking for gnome_window_icon_set_default_from_file in -lgnomeui... no
:-) configure: error: gnome-libs 1.0.59 or higher is required.
:-)
:-) Well, I have gnome-libs version 1.2.11, which would seem to be higher than
:-) 1.0.59. Here's the output of rpm -q gnome-libs:
:-)
:-) gnome-libs-1.2.11-0mdk_helix_1
:-)
:-) and of gnome-config --version
:-)
:-) gnome-libs 1.2.11
:-)
:-) Any recommendations?
:-)
:-) By the way, the README refers to running the "autogen.sh" command in the evo
:-) source directory, but I can't find any such shell script. Was this supposed
:-) to be configure?
Do you have gnome-libs-devel installed? It has the parts the config script is looking for.
As for autogen.sh, that is only if you are running from a source tree pulled from cvs. If you are not (
and it sounds like it ), then you can safely ignore this step.
Well, don't ignore it - replace it with ./configure.
