Hey, don't forget to "reply-all" or change the "To" to the mailing list,
so others on the mailing list might profit from our investigations :)
I left your address in the reply (as well as adding
evolution ximian com) because you'll get the message faster than if it
has to go through the mailing list first...
I have a thought--Are you running X as root, or as yourself? The
GnomeCC changes are done on a per-user basis, I'm quite sure... so any
changes you make there won't affect Evolution if you're running it from
a terminal, logged in as root--unless you copy the settings to the /root
directory or run GnomeCC as root, or something like that.
Meanwhile good luck on getting Evo to run as a non-root app. I think
there was a previous discussion about this problem in the past week or
so. Check the archives (which apparenlty aren't searchable just yet...)

Well, Janne <jan moren lucs lu se> just emailed me to say that it works
for him (I think Janne is a _him_, forgive my foreignness if not!), so I
decided to investigate further. I realized that you have to restart
Evolution for the changes to message viewing to take effect. Changing
the compose window did not require restarting Evo; just opening a new
compose window.
Nope. After restarting I have the same iritating small font like before ;)
If it's not working for you, maybe you should update your gtkhtml
libraries?
Yes, it can be that.
In any case I think it would be nice to have an immediate effect rather
than requiring a restart, but it's not certainly something I'd complain
loudly about.
Yeah, exactly :)
Also personaly I think it should be configurable per-application, not
system-wide via gnomecc (or in addition to system-wide conf). For some
applications I'd like different fonts.
Further investigation tomorrow, it's getting late ;)
And still it crashes if run "no-root" :(
