Evolution, gal, gtkhtml: CVS
[snip]
I updated gal, gtkhtml, and
Evo from CVS, recompiled/installed. Now Evo doesn't even show the splash
screen. I even tried renaming $HOME/evolution. After that I got the
"never used Evolution before dialog", then nothing.
I really think that since I used to see the splash screen and since
updating I don't, I MAY be seeing a different problem now, since it works
for root and no one else. Wasn't one of the Evo components supposed to be
suid?
More information: gal, gtkhtml, and evolution compiled with gcc3.0
If I attach a strace to the process after it starts, I see the following

Here is where the process just hangs and doesn't go anywhere at all (NOTE: no
evolution debugging messages are put out to the console).
Please help me. I need my Evolution!!!
