Evolution, gal, gtkhtml: CVS
Here's what happened. I went to work leaving Evolution running at home (I
forgot to shut it down). I accessed the same IMAP mail that Evo was
monitoring from a Web/IMAP interface. I read and deleted some emails. When
I got home, Evo had a dialog about loosing connection to the IMAP store. It
was also showing incorrect headers (some I knew I had deleted). So I exited,
waited, did a killev/oaf-slay, and restarted. No luck. All I got was a
totally empty splash screen. I killed everything I could think of, still the
same. I rebooted, no change. So I updated gal, gtkhtml, and Evo from CVS,
recompiled/installed. Now Evo doesn't even show the splash screen. I even
tried renaming $HOME/evolution. After that I got the "never used Evolution
before dialog", then nothing.
I really think that since I used to see the splash screen and since updating
I don't, I MAY be seeing a different problem now, since it works for root and
no one else. Wasn't one of the Evo components supposed to be suid?
