Not that I consider it a "Serious" browser, but the Solaris version of
"MSIE" does this in a config dialog.

Mozilla has a way of changing the mail too (there are 2 alteernative
being worked on) but I don't know how to set it. It may not
be a runtime selectable option (yet?)

As the mozilla mail/news developers about it.
