Or, another solution: text on the right, rotated 90° ...
We definatly need to keep the text though, I for example have a shortcut
group of mailing list folders, having a column of unnamed envelop icons
would be painfull ;o)
I don't know if rotating the text would make sense though as I think the
original request was so that the width of teh shortcut could be
minimised.
