Hi Wouter Thanks for the swift reply. I am aware of these features in the print dialogue. However if the desired pages are rather scattered throughout the document this can get very messy in the 'print range' box. The other idea was simpler and more accessible. It seems a pity to have lost functionality. I do appreciate it's limited usefulness, though I find my self wishing I had it quite often. Kind Regards Paul Wouter Bolsterlee wrote: 2009-01-19 klockan 20:27 skrev Paul Sheridan:I used to use gpdf and ggv a number of years back and now understand that evince has replace these. One of my favourite features of gpdf was the ability to select a page (with a tick mark) and also to invert the selection later on. This does not see to be a feature in evince. Have you comments on that, plans to include it or do I have the wrong idea? The ability to "select pages" is not of much use. I vaguely remember that (in gpdf), this was only used to select which pages you wanted to print. If you want to selectively print pages in Evince, you should use the print dialog (which is the logical place for such things), and choose which pages you want to print. To print a single page, one can just navigate to that page, open the print dialog, and select "print current page". If one wants to print all pages except (for example) pages 4 and 5, one opens the print dialog, and types 1-3,6- in the "print range" input field. Hope this helps, and thanks for using Evince. — Wouter -- --------------------------------- Paul Sheridan School of Physics UCD, Dublin Phone +35317162205 Fax +35312837275 --------------------------------- |
