Currently only the ps backend is a problem, as it is the only other
backend needing vector graphics support, isn't it? All the other
backends use raster graphics, I guess, which can be drawn to the cairo
drawing context.
ghostscript has a new cairo backend [1]. Maybe it is possible to use it
to render ps to a cairo drawing context.
