Neither have I, and I think we indeed need someone with experience
with that to give us info, but in the meantime we can read

Side note: volunteer time can also be matched by employers, The
employee tells them how much time they spent working as a volunteer
for an organisation and the company makes a money donation equivalent
to a salary for that time. We've had at least one person doing that
for the last two GUADEC. We should probably advertise that as well as
some people might not be aware of such programs and we thus miss
opportunities.
