What I intended to make it look like:

When the peer does not indicate encryption support:

When an encrypted connection was successfully established:

When the peer seems to support encryption but out of some reason
(protocol version mismatch, timeouts, lost packets, active attack, SAS
mismatch...) establishing a secure connection has failed:

(Note that most of the code comes straight from Epiphany, I've only
added a bit of glue).
