Well, I finally got it to work! I've uploaded it on to Bugzilla and pending the approval of Lars (I think), you will hopefully be seeing Gane and Sarson shapes in Dia (yay! :))

I must admit, the crashing instead of giving an error message is annoying, but I got it sorted eventually :)
