I suppose it could do that.  But then we have a synchronization problem
-- we wouldn't want to load half-way written files.

we avoid files in .shape.dpkg-new, then. We can try games like
lsof(1)'ing the file (unless we need root), etc.

(and the equivalent for RPM).

I don't like the idea of hacking around individual package management
systems.  I'd rather have a menu item 'Reload shapes' or something.
