Re: Canonical jhbuild documentation



Sri, as the target audience of the HowDoI (as were many fellow attendees at various hackfests), I'd be dismayed if it went away. I'm not a beginner and I don't need to know all the switches, often I just need to know how to get it running again. As Fred says, it's written by someone who can ask, "Why does it work this way?", change the way it works and update the instructions accordingly, or even "Why should the instructions be different for BSD?" and fix the situation. If anything, the HowDoI should be the Canonical source for other efforts.

Also jhbuild has been absorbing good practices first written down in
that page (default directory layout, no jhbuilrc required), and that
in turn made that page shrink, which is a good thing.
