Some more positive attitude to gnome-applets, first of all. Looking at
the "gnome-applets" thread I got impression that RT was not going to
accept gnome-applets under any circumstances. The message I got was
"anyone is free to maintain gnome-applets compatible with upgraded
gnome-panel - but gnome 3 is not going to include them regardless".
Did I get it wrong? I am not saying I am ready to build them - but
that denial position is a barrier for anyone to step up - because it
would be a "personal hack project", nothing more. If gnome 3 is ready
to accept gnome-applets (uplifted to new APIs) - that could encourage
somebody.
