We weren't trying to match an API or duplicate one from OSX or Windows. What we were targeting is having a unified menubar. The API probably most closely matches KDE Status Notifier specification as we're basically wrapping the work that they did. Which, I guess we should mention, applications using libappindicator work in KDE. --Ted
