I'm one of the developers of cheese and feel that cheese is not ready
yet for inclusion because
1) We completely refactored the gstreamer backend and haven't had a
release since. So I'm not sure if it works well for every webcam
2) Cheese needs more HIG love
3) Also feature wise it needs some more things for it to be 1.0
material (preference dialog, ability to select multiple items in the
icon view
4) And as Shaun is mentioning, we need a manual
I think it's better to wait for 2.24
