we are planning, for the opensuse.org project, to use the Build service
(http://build.opensuse.org) to create packages from unstable GNOME. It
supports SuSE, Fedora, Debian and others in the future, so you might
want to join the mailing list (opensuse-buildservice opensuse org) and
join the GNOME packaging theme there.
