Oh, actually I understood the need for the "sync" call right from the
first time I looked on the gnome-vfs code. It's just that I disliked
(and still dislike) the way it is implemented. (Alexander, it's not
the that I don't like your coding style or that I think the whole
gnome-vfs is crap (actually quite the contrary), it's just that I
think the (synchronous) DNS-SD support is implemented in a broken way.)
