Hi, Would you consider maintaining gnome-ppp on the gnome cvs in the near future? So that it allows contribution by others :), in particular translation. -Ghee Vladimir Djokic wrote: On сре, 2004-09-22 at 09:34 +0200, Alexander Larsson wrote:On Wed, 2004-09-22 at 10:51 +0800, Davyd Madeley wrote:On Tue, 2004-09-21 at 22:25 +0100, Ross Burton wrote:On Tue, 2004-09-21 at 18:10 +0200, Vladimir Djokic wrote:i want to make ppp:/// URI for all PPP connection using gnome-vfs for gnome pppAh god, please no. ppp:/// is not a file system so should not be a gnome-vfs method.I agree with Ross. For the same reason printers do not get displayed in nautilus, internet connections shouldn't either. It's a very windows based school of thought.I agree very very much to this, and will deny any such patches to gnome- vfs if they are proposed. (Although, of course, you don't need to patch gnome-vfs to do it...) Gnome-vfs is for file i/o. If you don't expect users to load or save documents, presentations and things like that on it, don't make it use gnome-vfs.ok, i understand. maybe a applet with a list of ppp connections in its menu? bye, vladeck. |
