Ah sorry, I didn't read the file description fully. I thought it only
cached metadata but :

ImageList:
4		CARD32		N_IMAGES
4*N_IMAGES	Image		IMAGES

implies it'd cache the image data as well. Though, this would duplicate
the images on disk which is a bit wasteful.
