With each year that passes, it is less of a problem, indeed.
Actually, it is still a big problem, since mozilla is not API stable.
Virtually everyone on the planet would need to upgrade their mozilla to
get a working epiphany, for example, and the number of people who won't
need to upgrade to run galeon 1.3.3 is also vanishingly small. So,
'everyone uses mozilla' doesn't really help us as much as I wish it
would. :/
I guess it depends on the selection of the API you use. But really - it is
not so much a question of 'everybody runs mozilla' but everybody *ships*
mozilla - making sure a shipped desktop upgrades componnets in a reasonable
way is not that hard. Mozilla is really no differnet in a significant way
from any gnome "desktop" libraries.
