With my translator goggles on, I must say I disagree strongly.

At least for the Danish team, we know that there are a lot of typos
and misunderstandings in the translations (because each time we survey
them, we find quite a lot). The ordinary users are best equipped to
find these bugs since they get to look at the strings a lot - and also
sometimes have a much better specific domain knowledge.

But we've never been able to get anyone to report the issues. I've had
3-4 reports since I started translating Gnome for a couple of years
ago, and only one of those was from a user (the others were from
fellow translators).

Instead people go around ridiculing the GNU/Linux desktop. I know
that, I've encountered that attitude lots of times.

If we can get more people to help, that would just be incredibly cool!
