How awful horrible and ugly would it be to extend the gconf schema format to allow globs in the key name? To say something akin to /apps/panel/profiles/default/*/key_name Admittedly, this could be abused, but I think for relatively simple usage it's might be a useful and intuitive way of getting the same schema to apply to different instances of the same key. -- Shahms E.
