The theory is that if you leave your system running and are logged in,
with the screensaver kicked in (say you left for work), and someone else
wants to use the computer, they just move the mouse and the screensaver
shows you a login screen with the option to put in your password and log
back in as the original user or log in as a different user, leaving the
original session intact.
