You seem to be extremely naive.
Why should Sun write that CDDL and GPL are incompatible?
Sun is one of the _very_ _few_ neutral third parties......Sun is the first
target for someone who would sue someone for cdrtools. So if Sun believes that
there is no problem you could be _very_ _very_ sure that this is correct.
In case, you don't know: Sun's lawyers found that libcdio cdreates a license
problem and for this reason immediately _removed_ libcdio from Solaris and
replaced it by a library that is based on cdrtools.
Sun distributes _many_ GPLd programs with Solaris and by doing this, Sun
let's thede GPLd programs use CDDLd libraries. If the claims from some attakers
would be right, why did the FSF not sue Sun?

The fact that you ask this question verifies that you don't understand the
problem. Fire and water are incompatible but they coesist on earth. GPL and
LGPL are incompatible but many software combines GPL with LGPL without problems.
In the late 1980s, the GPL has been intentionally designed to be compatible with
any library under any license.
