[Banshee-List] Help with command lines

Hi, assigned  the following commands  to my keyboard:

  --play                     Start playback

  --pause                    Pause playback

  --toggle-playing           Toggle playback

It's working, but there's a 1.5-2 second delay betweeen pressing a button and action, this doesn't happen using the GUI.

Any ideas on how get a faster response time?

I'm using banshee 2.6, linux mint 15 with xfce 4.10.
