Re: [Banshee-List] Sync an android device over WiFi

I'd like to say the sync feature in Banshee is really awesome since it's able
to convert lossless on the fly. I managed to sync with my Motorola Atrix
over USB by placing .is_audio_player, it's OK. Unfortunately it seems that
sync only works with devices which are connected over USB. When I share my
sdcard using samba filesharing app and mount it as /media/atrix, Banshee
doesn't discover it. It's a bit confusing since Nautilus works with this
mounted dir fine. Are there any restriction for non-usb sources? Could you
please propose a workaround? Thanks

I too have been exploring methods to get video content to my tablet
(Acer Iconia). Even mounting it is quite the challenge (where as my
B&N Nook table is easy peasy).

I've tried ssh clients, but they seem to choke on large transfer. Current
I am using SwiFTP server. I've moved gigabytes of data without issue
from my linux computer up and down.

Also tried with limited success is an app called Astro with bluetooth transfer
and another calling itself 'File Manger which seems to have some SMB
capability. I haven't proved that yet.

Yes, I don't like FTP, but in this limited sense, behind a firewall with the
ability to use username/password is OK. And solves the problem of
getting video, epub, pictures and audio to/from the android table.
