I see you are aware of:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=647969
So you will need to revert that change for now. I reopened the bug to
reflect that it is still broken for us.
Yes, I've reverted to pango 1.29.5 with some patches and it worked:
https://github.com/Dynalon/bockbuild/blob/master/packages/pango.py
The zero-width patch is important in pango, without it i get totally
screwed characters showing up. On my Lion machine I've got banshee with my
current bockbuild tree working quite okay. There is still a bug/crash in
the NowPlaying Extension (when clicking on "Now Playing" on the left)
which I've got a kind of workaround for, but is not very pretty (requires
a hack in gtk-sharp). I maybe will look into this further.
The Gtk+ crash on drag-n-drop is still present with 2.24.10, however not
in all views. Earlier versions crashed more often (maybe this is due to
your mentioned fix in commit 7c77f9). For example, dragging playlists
around in the playlist pane on the left works, but d'n'd an album cover in
the cover view will crash. I'll try to get backtraces with debug builds
soon.
Greets
Timo
