Sorry for the slow response.  The only current bug report that I know of related to the library scan tool crashing Banshee is this one: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=634935

I haven't looked closely at the logs from the issue there or your issue, but if that doesn't sound like the same problem you're running into, it would be awesome if you would open a new bug report: banshee.fm/file-bugs  Thanks!
