Hi,

I'm late to this conversation.  I do like you ideas and have no objection to "cluttered" displays, which if they are configurable can become uncluttered.

For a while now I have wanted more in the now playing, e.g. ID3 comments, changing Front and Back covers (some of us have these), so when you put forward the idea of the Wikipedia & co (I like the Wiki implementation under Amarok 1) I was very pleased.

I still think that the user should be able to control the display in the Now playing display via preferences.

Your "mock-ups" are a great way of gaining the developers buy-in, and help them think down more visually interesting paths.
