Hello everybody.
I spend some time on banshee and it happens that some bugs were linked to the version of Mono libraries which I used
My current problem is the Gstream support. On my Windows Seven X64 the Gstream backend throw an exception because the libbanshee failed to initialize. I have not investigate anymore at this point.
My Wmp backend work for music (\o/) and at this point I have a question : Are you interested by this backend ? He is based on the Wmp ActiveX component. I know that Wmp is not open source and that is a problem.
I'm working on a hardware manager based on WMI. It's a painful work but it still in progress. My other question is: Have you a hardware manager for windows ? I'm also spirit for mobile device but the COM interop for PortableDevice class is broken. I thinks the best way is to create a C++ wrapper on top of COM component.
Thanks
Best regards

Hello
Personaly I have been building using VS 2010 and targeting MS Framework 3.5 SP1.
"Major" problems is on GStream support, but I will use your own, URI List class and DBus support.
My Wmp backend is just an skeleton.
Before any patch, I will see your work and compare with mine, and most important I will see how git work ...
Thanks
Best regards

It is not a port, but rather ironing out the few issues in our code
that keep it from running as-is on Windows. It's very close now. It
would be great to have your help solving the remaining issues - see

I have been building on Windows using SharpDevelop 3.0. Somebody in
#banshee on IRC yesterday was having trouble building with MonoDevelop
on Windows.
We're actually using the GStreamer backend for Windows as well. Have
you done a lot of work for your port? I'd suggest you pull any useful
patches out of your work (and submit/attach them in bugzilla) and work
with us against master instead. Join us in #banshee on irc.gnome.org
if you want to chat.
Thanks!
Gabriel
