I'm replying this to be helpful, so you can understand why your
approach offended a lot of people. I don't mean this as an attack by
any means.

1) Use of ALL CAPS is the internet equivalent of shouting.
2) Questions like "Does no one care about the customer" are equivalent
to you accusing the Banshee developers of not caring about their
"customer", which is extremely insulting. They care, as evidenced by
all of the work they do, the features they add, and the bugs they fix.
Everybody has limited resources, especially limited time. You have
to appreciate that if you want to get along in open source
communities.
3) You continually generalize your problem to be characteristic of all
of Banshee, which is illogical and (as shown above) incorrect. Just
because your pet bug is not being fixed, does not mean that other
important bugs are not being fixed.
4) You go immediately on the defensive, saying "don't bother" to a
perceived hypothetical attack.

In open source projects, if you can't code, and you can't contribute
financially, your method of payment is bug reports, stack traces and
other troubleshooting artifacts to help the developers reproduce your
problem so they can fix it.

And the proper way to do this is by asking, not accusing/insulting, as
your tone implied. The Banshee website has an entire section devoted
to filing good bugs:

http://banshee-project.org/contribute/file-bugs/

I hope this is helpful in the future. And thanks for following up on the bug!
