The patches in bug 530690 won't fix this; the parenthesized sections
are stripped before being escaped/digested. The patch from Bas
Zoetekouw in bug 520516 should work.

The weird thing is that the code is explicitly written to ignore
parens; is there a reason for this? It was present in the first
version of CoverArtSpec checked in by Aaron Bockover, so there's no
commit note about ignoring parens.
