Extensions in trunk are done quite differently than stable's Plugins
because we now use Mono.Addins. Most of the existing plugins haven't
been ported yet (Aaron ported a skeleton of the notification plugin)
so feel free to dive in and document the process.
I figured as much. I'll take a look at the new Notification extension to see what I can find there, but Mono.Addins seems to add another layer of unfamiliar ground. ;)

If you have any questions about development against trunk, please don't
hesitate to ask! As it seems to stand today, myself, Gabriel, and Scott
Peterson seem to be the most familiar with the structure of trunk.
Thanks! I have a lot of questions about extensions, and that's probably likely to triple when I look at the code in trunk. Is it best to ask the questions here are you guys usually available in IRC?
Since you guys rock so hard, my overall goal is to work on a few extensions that I would love to see, and maybe others would too. Most notably, a Statistics extension that gives you a summary of your music, e.g. artists you have the most music of, etc. Simple, but interesting (again, maybe only to me). So if I can help others create the plugins they want while I'm learning, that sounds pretty satisfying.
Oh, and I'm doing my best to help out with bugs. :)
